Healthy Plate is designed for anyone who wants to be more intentional about their eating habits, including busy professionals and people who find traditional calorie-counting apps stressful.
Download and open Healthy Plate, then take a photo of your meal. Choose Log in 3 Seconds for a quick entry, or use AR + AI for a more detailed portion analysis. Healthy Plate analyzes the meal’s calories and nutrients and saves the record, helping you understand your portions, eating habits, and progress over time.
The free plan gives you unlimited access to Log in 3 Seconds, along with three AR + AI measurements. Once you’ve used all three, you can continue using AR + AI by subscribing to Healthy Plate Pro in the app or entering a voucher (available only through select promotions).
Healthy Plate is available on both iOS and Android. Download it from the App Store or Google Play.
No. Healthy Plate works with your phone, so no additional hardware is required. The app uses visual estimation to analyze your meal photos.
Log in 3 Seconds is a faster way to track your meals. Simply take a photo, and AI will identify the foods and analyze their calories and nutrients. Meals logged this way are marked with a lightning bolt icon.
To make logging faster, Log in 3 Seconds skips the meal-type selection step. For now, these meals are automatically categorized as Other. A future update will let you change the meal type from your meal history.
With AR + AI, Healthy Plate first uses AR to estimate the food’s volume, then combines that information with the photo for AI analysis. Because the AI has additional portion-size information to work with, the results are generally more accurate, though the process takes a little longer.
Choose Log in 3 Seconds when speed matters, or AR + AI when you want a more detailed portion analysis.
Adding the widget to your Home Screen gives you a quick way to open Healthy Plate and start logging a meal.

The exact steps may vary slightly depending on your device and operating system version.
After taking a photo of your meal, select the Veg Meal option to mark it as vegetarian. Vegetarian meals are shown with a leaf icon so they’re easy to identify.
If you usually follow a vegetarian diet, you can also update your diet preference so new meals are marked as vegetarian by default.
Go to your Profile, tap the pencil icon next to your name, and update your diet preference to indicate that you usually eat vegetarian.
Once this is set, the vegetarian option will be selected by default for future meals. If a particular meal isn’t vegetarian, you can simply deselect it when logging.
To support healthy and sustainable habits, we set a minimum daily intake of 1,200 calories for women and 1,500 for men , even if your calculated need is lower.
This is based on guidelines from trusted health authorities, including:
- Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare
- U.S. National Library of Medicine (MedlinePlus)
- U.S. National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI)
Eating below these levels may not give your body enough nutrients or energy to function properly.
We want to help you build lasting habits, not follow extreme or crash diets. If you have a medical condition or special dietary needs, we recommend checking with a healthcare provider before making changes to your plan.
